A series of traditional cliffside dwellings carved into dramatic canyon walls.

Duration
8 Days
Located in the Batna Province, the Ghoufi Balconies are a natural site featuring deep, winding canyons carved by the Abiod River. Along the canyon walls, historic settlements were built directly into the rock face using traditional Berber architectural techniques. The site offers a unique perspective on how local populations adapted their living structures to the rugged, steep geography of the Aurès Mountains.
